I’m excited to celebrate my first book birthday with Homemakers’ Christmas. I’ve enjoyed writing since learning how to hold a pencil. But, being a practical person, chose a practical career path. When inspiration struck and free time presented itself, I filled countless notebooks with half written stories and ideas. Ten years after the glimmer of this story sparked, I finally sat down and typed to the end. Rejection is real. After countless revisions and submissions, Homemakers’ Christmas found a home with Satin Romance, an imprint of Melange Publishing. I was fortunate to have a fantastic experience working with them.
One year later I’m thrilled to have a soon to be released novella published by The Wild Rose Press. Fun fact, they rejected Homemakers’ Christmas. But I’d read enough positive articles about them to take another chance with my next manuscript. The learning experience was unparalleled. A sequel is in the works! Ten years ago, I wouldn’t have dared to imagine these opportunities. It truly is never too late to follow your dreams.
